Perfect 400 out of 400 mark

FORMER Blue Coat School pupil Alexandra Sutton is a perfect student.
She chalked up 400 marks out of a possible 400 in her English Literature A-level — the top score in the country.
Now the 18-year-old has received a letter from the WJEC exam board congratulating her on her “outstanding achievement”, along with £50 and a certificate.
Alexandra also gained an A* in history, As is politics and general studies, a B in French and an A* for her extended project.
She is on a gap year and hopes to read English at either Oxford or University College London.
“I am glad that I did so well in something I really love,” said Alexandra, of Cathedral Road, Chadderton.
She praised her English teachers Janet Hargreaves and Peter Groves, as well as the rest of her class, and added: “They made it easy. It would not have been as enjoyable in a different class.”
Alexandra’s teachers are not surprised that she got full marks. and Mrs Hargreaves described her as a “perfect student”.
Mr Groves added: “She worked really hard and was really well prepared. She was so engrossed in her studies it was incredible.”
