FORMER Oldham Rugby League Club player Mick Fogerty has apologised after being suspended for breaching anti-doping regulations.
The Rugby Football League said Fogerty (28), provided a sample containing cannabis. His three months suspension began on October 11.
The former Keighley Cougars and Rochdale Hornets centre who joined Oldham last January, but is now out of contract, said: “I want to apologise. It was a silly mistake and now I have to learn by my mistake.”
Fogerty played a starring role on and off the field, helping to develop the club's new Whitebank Stadium home while also producing a tally of 19 tries in 28 appearances for the club.
