Lib-Dems demand apology
Date published: 09 December 2010
The Lib-Dems are demanding an apology from Labour Leader Ed Miliband over the campaign in the 2010 election which saw Phil Woolas lose his seat.
Manchester Withington MP John Leech has tabled a Commons motion condemning the election leaflet literature of the former Oldham East and Saddleworth MP.
The motion calls for all MPs to condemn those who seek to stir up racial tensions and calls for an apology for the campaign by Mr Woolas and his election team.
Mr Leech said: “It is now time to draw a line under this shameful affair.”
