New link to hospice
Date published: 14 December 2010
Passengers in Oldham now have a new bus link to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Royton.
The 418 bus service is to be revised to offer hourly daytime links from Oldham to the hospice and the Shaw Road area of Royton. The hospice link had been requested by users.
GMITA has limited funds, through the taxpayer, to help provide essential bus services that are not provided commercially.
Bus users can check their services before travelling at www.gmpte.com or by calling Traveline on 0871-200 22 33. Calls cost 10p a minute from landlines. Lines are open from 7am-8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-8pm at weekends.
