Latics fire: two in court

TWO teenagers charged with arson over the £100,000 blaze at Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park ground are due to appear before Oldham magistrates on Friday.

The 15 and 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were due to appear on New Year’s Eve, but the case was adjourned for a fifth time.

A pallet was set alight at Latics’ ground at around 5.15pm on Sunday, August 22. The fire spread to a hospitality suite and the disabled area of the ground.
