SINGING sensation Jodie Connor: looking for solo chart success
SCOUTHEAD singer Jodie Connor is hoping for chart success as she releases her first solo single.
The former Saddleworth School pupil spent three weeks at the top of the charts in May when she appeared on Roll Deep’s smash hit “Good Times”.
Jodie has also contributed vocals to “In My System” by urban star Tinchy Stryder.
Now she’s ready to branch out on her own and is hoping “Now Or Never” featuring Wiley, released this Sunday, achieves similar success.
Jodie, who studied performing arts at Oldham College, is moving to London at the end of the month in preparation for the release of her debut album and has been working with Manchester producer David Dawood to develop her writing and singing skills.
She will perform “Now Or Never” at River Island’s Bond Street store next Thursday.
Talented Jodie enjoyed her first taste of success in 2003 when she narrowly missed out on a place in the grand final of Pop Idol, impressing Simon Cowell along the way. Visit www.jodieconnormusic.com to find out more.
