POLICE are hunting two men who subjected a taxi driver to a frightening ordeal in Oldham.
The attack happened at about 11.40pm on Wednesday, January 5.
The 32-year-old driver picked up the pair of men who appeared from behind the Centurion Pub on Lord Street. They asked him to drive a short distance and then requested he stop on the Hadrian House car park while they waited for a friend.
Once there, they assaulted the driver and demanded cash. One of the offenders took a small amount of cash and they both ran off towards Henshaw Street.
DC Simon Halliwell, of Oldham CID, said: “Taxi drivers face these sorts of dangers every day and we will take a zero tolerance approach to people who behave in this aggressive manner”.
Anyone with information should call Oldham CID on 0161 856 8955 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
