Two hurt in crash

TWO people were taken to hospital after a head-on collision between a Nissan Micra and Kia Ceed in Mossley.
The Micra, driven by a 53-year-old woman, ended up in a field after the smash in Mossley Road at around 5pm yesterday. She was taken to Tameside General Hospital along with the 19-year-old male driver of the Kia. Their injuries are not reported to be serious.
Witnesses to the accident near the Hartshead Inn should call the road-policing unit on 0161-856 8473 .
