A FORMER Manchester United footballer from Failsworth has appeared in court charged with conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
Ronnie Wallwork (33), of Mather Street, had his case adjourned at Preston Magistrates Court yesterday and was granted unconditional bail to appear at Preston Crown Court on May 17. He is yet to enter a plea.
The former Failsworth School pupil had been questioned in connection with the handling of stolen vehicles by police investigating serious and organised crime across the North-West as he arrived at Manchester Airport on a flight.
He was later charged with conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
Wallwork made 28 appearances for United.
