Led down the garden path

LATICS STADIUM FALLOUT
LATICS are preparing a damning dossier that chairman Simon Corney believes will not make pretty reading for beleaguered Oldham Council over the ground-search debacle.
“Depending what happens in the next 48 hours or so, we shall be going public with a complete dossier of this mess,” said the seething Corney.
“We have minutes of every meeting, decisions and promises made — going back four or five years. We have invested heavily in this project and for it to fall down in this way is just not acceptable. We have been led down the garden path.”
Mr Corney said he was still waiting to hear the views of Oldham Council chief executive Charlie Parker to the Charity Commission’s damning decision. “I was told he was away skiing but I urgently need to discuss this with him.”
