Fraud charges

A MAN appeared in Oldham Magistrates Court on Saturday faced with charges of conspiring to defraud almost a quarter of a million pounds in Oldham.
Mohammed Tahir Ashraf, (43), of Cheadle Hulme, faces the charges relating to bank fraud of £244,750 on July 19, and £18,500 on July 23 in 2007. He was remanded in custody until Wednesday.
