THOUSANDS answered the call to Boundary Park last night - what a pity the team forgot to turn up.
A gate of 8,564 paid over £13,000 in receipts in the £2 match to prove that Oldham really does have the fight to keep a professional club in the town.
But with the cut-price scheme funded by local businesses who put up £1,000 each to enable the discount, Paul Dickov's men proceded the produce one of their worst perofrmances of the season and lost 1-0 at home to Carlisle.
