Street attack shame
Police have released an e-fit image of a cowardly teenager who took part in a street robbery on a vulnerable 15-year-old girl.
The girl was waiting for friends to come out of a house in Raymond Avenue, Chadderton, when she was approached by two boys.
They spoke to her before one of them punched her in the eye, searched her and stole her mobile phone and money.
When the girl tried to fight back, she was punched again. The thugs made off towards Raymond Mill.
The chief culprit is described as a 16-year-old boy, 5ft 5ins tall, slim with crew-cut style hair.
He wore a black tracksuit and black shoes.
The second was around 5ft 9ins tall, slim with short fair hair. He wore a black tracksuit.
DC Natalie Sykes, from Oldham Volume Crime Team, said: “The victim has been deeply affected by this attack and left extremely shaken.
“The two robbers have purposefully picked on a young and vulnerable girl who was on her own waiting for friends.
“Their actions are cowardly and I would urge anyone who saw anything or recognises this person to contact police.”
The attack happened shortly after 7pm last Wednesday.
