E-FIT of the man police wish to interview
POLICE are searching for a burglar who threw a brick at a Failsworth homeowner before stealing his car.
The 46-year-old victim was at home in Park Avenue, at 1.45am on December 30, when he heard a noise.
He went to the front door to investigate and saw a man had broken in and stolen the keys to his Volkswagen Toureg 4x4.
When he challenged the offender, the burglar threw a brick at him before driving off in his car.
The car has still not been found.
Police have now issued an e-fit in a bid to catch the burglar who is described as white, about 5ft 10in tall, slim and wearing a dark bobble hat.
He was with another man who was not seen.
Det-Con Paul Cockburn, from Greater Manchester Police, said: “It was a fright for the victim who was woken in the middle of the night to find his house being broken into, but we are grateful to him for being able to help put the e-fit together.
“I would urge anyone who may think that the image resembles someone they know to get in touch.”
Witnesses should call police on 0161-856 8951 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
