Latics arson trial go-ahead
Date published: 22 February 2011
THE trial of two teenagers charged with arson over the £100,000 blaze at Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park ground is due to take place in July.
A date for the two-day hearing, which starts on July 7, was set at Oldham Youth Court.
The case against the 15 and 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been adjourned a number of times already so far.
A pallet was set alight at Latics’ ground around 5.15pm on Sunday, August 22, with the fire quickly spreading to the match-day hospitality suite and a disabled section of the stadium.
