Len Quinn — changing allegiance
COUNCILLOR Len Quinn has quit Oldham’s Tory party and will stand as an independent.
The shock blow, announced last night, has left the Lib-Dem/Conservative coalition with an even slimmer majority.
Councillor Quinn has pledged to “work closely” with the Labour party, and if he votes with them, it will mean 29 votes against the coalition’s 31.
Oldham’s Conservative party now has just four members.
