MOSSLEY's new high school.
Future’s bright at swish new school
A SMART new school makes studying a pleasure for students at Mossley Hollins.
The secondary school, which cost £22m, was built as part of Tameside Council’s £300million Building Schools for the Future Programme.
The modern development is situated on the playing fields of the old school in Huddersfield Road and holds 750 pupils, many from Oldham.
Governors successfully lobbied for a new school as the old one was expensive to run, on a constricted site with a steep slope, and had poor disabled access.
A host of new facilities include a sports hall, library and performing arts theatre.
