JEAN Byrne and triumphant Monty
Jean Byrne proudly shows off Monty her five-year-old Weimaraner after walking away with a top prize at Crufts.
Gundog Monty was among 21,500 dogs competing at Crufts and took the prestigious best of breed award at Birmingham’s NEC last weekend.
Monty beat off competition from 174 other dogs to scoop the coveted prize before going on to compete for best in group.
His win was part of the 120th anniversary of the world-famous Crufts show.
Jean said: “I’m so pleased for Monty. It’s a marvellous achievement to win best of breed at Crufts. I’m so proud of what he’s done.
“He’s a brilliant dog who not only does well in shows but is also a working gundog who loves nothing more than having a tear around in the woods.”
