Date published: 18 March 2011
RESIDENTS were evacuated amid fears of an explosion when a shed with two LPG cylinders went up in flames.
A 50-metre cordon was set up around the property in Crossbank Avenue, Springhead, at 5.45pm yesterday while firefighters tackled the blaze.
Twelve homes were evacuated for around 90 minutes as the cylinders were made safe. A faulty heater is suspected.
