Staff ring up £98,000

STAFF from Guinness North Counties in Hollinwood helped to send £98,000 to BBC’s Comic Relief funds.
The 90 housing group staff at the Stable Street offices were trained by Comic Relief to handle telephone calls on the night from all over the country.
They took pledges from the public as soon as the lines opened at 7pm and were kept busy until midnight.
It was the first time the housing group had volunteered to help the appeal.
The out-of-hours housing team continued to operate in another part of the building, ensuring that normal services to the association’s 27,000 customers were not affected.
