JOSHUA TROOP
OLDHAM Police are investigating how a man suffered a severe head injury that has left him in a coma.
Joshua Troops (22) was found in the back garden of a house in Delph New Road, Delph, at 11am on Sunday, March 20, with a fractured skull. He is currently being cared for in the Salford Royal Hospital.
It’s not known how he suffered the injury and detectives are now appealing for help in solving the mystery.
Officers believe he was sitting on a wall at the junction with Oldham Road and Delph New Road at 10.15am and was seen at a bus stop in Delph New Road five
Mr Troop was wearing a white and grey hooded top, black tracksuit pants and trainers.
Det Sgt John Coleman, from Oldham CID, said: “I would urge anyone who think they may have seen Joshua between 10am and 11am on Delph New Road to contact us as soon as possible.
“He may have been acting in a dazed or confused manner causing possible alarm to passers by.
“We are unsure whether he fell off the wall he was sitting on or has been assaulted and we are eager to speak to anyone who may have seen him.
“So far we are struggling to find out how he received his injury and his family are understandably distressed to see a loved one in hospital.”
