Eunice Lunn: 106 today
CONGRATULATIONS are in order for one of Oldham’s oldest residents as she celebrates her 106th birthday today.
And sherry-loving Eunice Lunn, who lives at Ashbourne House in Holts, is still going strong.
Originally from Holyhead in Wales, Eunice moved to the home in 2002.
One of six brothers and sisters, she went into nursing as a teenager and later became a health visitor. After the Second World War she met her husband Hubert and the pair wed in the 1950s.
Care assistant Jackie George said Eunice is having a party at the home with staff, friends and some relatives.
She said: “She’s a lovely lady and a pleasure to have here.”
