NHS Trust in TV spotlight
Date published: 11 April 2011
THE PENNINE Acute Trust, which runs hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, North Manchester and Bury, is the focus of a Dispatches investigation on Channel 4 tonight.
The current affairs documentary, Dispatches: Undercover Hospital, was filmed at a number of sites across the trust.
It goes inside one of the country’s busiest NHS hospitals as it faces multi-million pound cuts and hundreds of job losses in the next year.
With the coalition Government pledging to protect the NHS, the programme, which is on at 8pm, investigates what is really happening to the health service.
