SEASONAL shopping and business needs in Oldham were the focus of a market research project presented to the Oldham Evening Chronicle.
Second-year business degree students from University Campus Oldham took part in a series of market research across Oldham just before Christmas.
One group focused on how far Christmas shoppers had travelled to pick up their presents from Oldham town centre, while another questioned local businesses on what they wanted from business networking events.
The results were then presented to Chronicle managing director Philip Hirst and Steve Duthie, the Chronicle’s circulation manager.
Mr Duthie said: “It’s the first time the newspaper has worked with UCO students and we were impressed with their professionalism and the information they provided.
“This is something we can build on and repeat.”
