LIME-INCLINED: Ian Taylor
SADDLEWORTH businessman Ian Taylor will squeeze out every ounce of effort when he runs in the London Marathon on Sunday.
His refreshingly different approach will see the Grasscroft father-of-two dressed as a lime to raise money for children’s charity WellChild.
The founder of Greenfield-based event management company, Team Spirit said: “I decided to run in costume to help boost the charity donations, and the lime is linked to our Team Spirit slogan “refreshingly different events”.
It is Ian’s second marathon, his first was in Dublin eight years ago, and he admitted he wasn’t aiming for a fast time.
He said a finish would be a success, and rake in £2,500 for charity.
Anyone who wants to sponsor Ian can go to www.justgiving.com/Ian-Taylor5
All donations of £5 will get an entry into a free prize draw to win one of 20 prizes donated by hotel chains across the UK including Marriott, QHotels, Thistle and Barcelo Hotels.
