Danny Miller — better known as Aaron Livesey in TV soap Emmerdale — officially opened Radiance Hair and Beauty Salon in Manchester Road, Werneth.
He joined the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor David Jones, and salon owner Julie Clarke to cut a ribbon with her professionally trained staff Sophie Brewster, Jade Ogden and Naomi Brogden.
“We were overwhelmed at the turnout . . . Danny was signing autographs and welcoming new and old clients into the salon. There was a wave of hysteria with screaming girls when Danny and the Mayor cut the ribbon,” said Julie, who has invested a significant sum with her husband Keith to open the new business.
The mayor enjoyed a fish pedicure (where fish nibble away on your feet) after his long day while guests and clients took wine with a buffet lunch.
There were balloons and sweets for the children and adults received free Radiance bags filled with giveaways after demonstrations of teeth whitening, hair threading and a new line, Xtreme eyelashes.
Radiance offers everything from head to toe all under one roof.
