Move bids to improve quality of patient care
COMMUNITY health services in Oldham have been transferred to a new trust.

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, which runs mental health services in the borough, took over services provided by Oldham Community Health Services, part of NHS Oldham, on April 1.

But patients should not notice any difference as community services will be provided as normal.

The move is part of the Government’s Transforming Community Services programme (TCS) whichwill help to improve the quality of local health services and patient care.

It is hoped bringing community and mental health services together will provide better care for patients, looking at all aspects of their health, lifestyle and well-being.

Patients will now receive letters and information from Pennine Care rather than their current provider. But the people providing their care will remain the same.
