VANS gather in Foxdenton Lane
TRAVELLERS have moved on to fields in Foxdenton Lane.
Neighbours said a convoy of six motor homes moved on to a field off the main road in Chadderton at 10pm on Wednesday night. One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “The field is well used, children play football there every night and people walk their dogs. My house backs on to the field and I was woken at 3am because a generator was running. and there is a large black dog making a mess everywhere.”
A council spokesman said they were made aware of the travellers yesterday and both council enforcement officers and police visited. An eviction notice will be served.
