A PENSIONER had her shopping stolen as she waited for a bus in Oldham town centre.
The 60-year-old victim was at the Cheapside station when she felt her bags being pulled from her shoulder.
She put up a struggle and managed to punch the man in the face. But then a second thug appeared and stole her bags before they both fled the scene.
The first man is described as white, 18-years-old, 5ft 6in and of medium build. He was clean shaven and wore black tracksuit bottoms, trainers and a hat.
The second man is Asian, 17-years-old, 5ft 3in and of slim build. He had stubble and wore a beige T-shirt and jeans with a large belt buckle.
Detective Constable Natalie Sykes, from the Volume Crime Team, said: “The victim has been shocked by her ordeal and is now lacking confidence to go outside.”
The drama unfolded on Tuesday, April 26, at 4.15pm.
Det Con Sykes added: “We believe there would have been a number of people in the area when the robbery happened.
“I would urge anyone who saw something to contact us.”
