THIS Nissan Micra ended up on its roof following a collision.
THIS was the chaotic scene in Park Road yesterday after a collision between two cars caused devastation.
A crumpled Nissan Micra came to a rest on its roof during the accident after it smashed into a set of traffic lights.
A green Fiat Punto was also wrecked in the process.
Debris from the accident was scattered across the road at the junction with the Alexandra Central retail park at 12.30pm.
The female driver of the grey Micra was rescued from the wreckage by a passing police officer.
She was found to be conscious, breathing and thought to be suffering from an arm injury. She was taken to hospital.
Police cordoned off the scene and diverted traffic via Kings Road as firefighters from Hollins worked to clear the obstructions.
The road was cleared and reopened about 1.30pm.
