Cheap travel will be a no-no without your igo
Date published: 10 May 2011
youngsters must carry their new igo card from Monday to claim concessionary fare on bus journeys.
Susan Wildman, director of communications and customer services at Transport for Greater Manchester, said: “The igo card has been available since October, but we want to remind young people that from May 16, they won’t be able to claim the concessionary fare without one.
“If you haven’t applied for your card, you need to do so as quickly as possible, or you could find yourself paying the full fare.”
Download an application form at www.tfgm.com/igo — click ‘Apply’. Each pass costs £5 and will be valid from the date of issue until the August 31 after the holder’s 16th birthday.
