AN air ambulance flew two injured men to hospital after they collided with each other while riding off-road bikes.
The men, aged 18 and 22, were riding on waste land at the back of Shaw Road, Higginshaw, when they crashed on Saturday teatime.
The 22-year-old broke his collar bone and walked to the Flowerpot Inn, Higginshaw Lane, to get help for his 18-year-old friend who suffered a broken leg. North West Air Ambulance helicopter airlifted the men away for hospital treatment.
Traffic officers from Greater Manchester Police spent two hours at the scene and removed the bikes.
