No change at top for Lib-Dems
Date published: 13 May 2011
Councillors Howard Sykes and Jackie Stanton have kept their positions as leader and deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats on Oldham Council following last week’s local elections.
The group met for their first time on Wednesday after their party lost control of the administration when Labour swept back into power by gaining five seats, giving them a total of 34.
But the Liberal Democrat group, which was cut from 27 to 21 seats, will not decide who will have which roles in their shadow Cabinet until next Wednesday, a week before the annual council meeting on May 25.
