The cat thought to be the oldest in Oldham has died, aged 25.
Three-legged Winston was rescued in 1986 by Derrick Cockcroft after it was run over by a car and had to have a leg amputated.
Named after former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Winston enjoyed life at Derek’s home in Grampian Way in Crompton. But he became ill last week and was put down. Derek said: “He was unique and had a long and happy life.”
