Re-election delight for Hall

COUNCILLOR John Hall was delighted to be re-elected as chairman with Councillor Angie Farrell voted in as vice-chairman of Shaw and Crompton Parish Council.

There was no contest for the position held by the Lib-Dem father-of-two, who has lived in Shaw for over 36 years.

He is yet to confirm his chosen charities for the year.Councillor Chris Stephens is the new chairman of the planning committee with newly elected Sue Eckersley as his vice-chairman.

Mike Dodd became chairman of the finance committee with John Aspinall as vice-chairman.
