Oxfam Oldham needs readers’ help.

The Yorkshire Street store has launched an emergency appeal for donations after a fire destroyed a warehouse full of items.

Hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of goods were devastated at the Wastesaver base in Huddersfield.

Manageress Gail Jackson said: “The warehouse is where we send all our recycling and a lot of our stock is held there until it is needed.

“We’ve lost so much stuff. We really need help from the public as we are trying to keep up and running.”

Oxfam welcomes any clothes, household goods such as crockery, cutlery and ornaments, as well as DVDs, books and games in a quality and resaleable condition.
