CALLING all ladies with hats gathering dust in the wardrobe — give them to charity and make a difference.
Charity worker Bev Heap has teamed up with Dr Kershaw’s Hospice to raise cash in the run up to Ladies Day at Ascot next month.
Uppermill shop All Wrapped Up is holding an open night on Wednesday, June 8, where women can buy or loan a hat for the occasion. Milliner Jayne Mulqueen has agreed to help and will donate some of her hats to hire while Carol Smith will make fascinators and Saddleworth Bespoke events are helping organise the event.
Anyone who can help can drop hats and fascinators off at the Uppermill shop, in High Street, or at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, Turf Lane, Royton.
