TWO more men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a father-of-two who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Oldham.
Amran Khan (29) known locally as “Manny” was shot twice on the doorstep of his home on Nugget Street in Glodwick on the evening of Saturday, September 18, 2010. He had heard someone attacking a Honda Accord outside his bungalow as he put his daughters to bed, and went to open his front door.
A gunman in a dark car fired three shots.
One hit the former Hathershaw school pupil in the chest and he died a short time later. His wife, Shamila, was left screaming hysterically for help.
Brett Francis (27) and Jordan Francis (27), both of Birch Avenue, Oldham, were convicted of Mr Khan’s murder by Manchester Crown Court, on March 24, 2010, and sentenced to life with a minimum term of 28 years in prison.
Two men, aged 28 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody for questioning.
