SPRINGTIME splendour will be on display this weekend as the Saddleworth Festival of the Arts gets off to a colourful start. Over 20 proud homeowners are opening their garden gates to the public to show off their manicured lawns and tranquil Edens, like this one in Brownhill Lane, Uppermill. Nestled across the Saddleworth villages, everything from courtyard charm to park-like beauty will be on display for nature lovers across the borough.
GARDEN-LOVERS are in for a treat over the next two weekends as stunning retreats and beautiful Edens are opened for all to enjoy.
Hidden behind garden gates across Saddleworth, open spaces in all their splendour will be on show as part of the Saddleworth Festival of the Arts.
From the smallest of secret gardens, to vast open spaces of mature beauty, there will be something for everyone this weekend as locals can embark upon a tour of nature discovery.
The locations are split into areas, with outdoor spots in the east of Saddleworth open this Saturday and Sunday and in Saddleworth west on June 11 and 12.

Andrew and Susie Illingworth are proudly presenting the impressive land surrounding their idyllic home in Brownhill Lane.
Brimming flowerbeds surround an immaculately kept lawn, with a pond and flagpole create a feeling of parkland opulence.
Other highlights will include Roger Tanner’s garden in Kinders Lane, Greenfield.
With intriguing garden ornaments, an impressive pond complete with island and stepping stones and manicured areas to explore, no doubt it will prove a hit.
Meanwhile John and Joyce Dewhurst’s garden in Dobcross displays rugged charm.
