Bright and beautiful
Date published: 06 June 2011
AN Uppermill church has brought the hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful to life.
It is the theme of the colourful 2011 flower festival which opened at St Chad’s Church on Friday.
Part of the Saddleworth Arts Festival, each display has been inspired by a line from the well-known hymn.
They include “the cold wind in the winter,” “the meadows where we play,” and “the rushes in the water.”
People can see the stunning creations from 10.30am to 7pm today and tomorrow. Admission and programme £3.
