Les Barlow receives his award
ARTISTS in Saddleworth united to celebrate 60 years of service and dedication from a local art enthusiast.
Les Barrow has been the treasurer of the Saddleworth Group of Artists for six decades, after helping establish the group as one of its founder members.
Les, who lives in Uppermill, was presented with a digital camera by the chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council, Bill Cullen, and his consort Enid Firth.
Vice-president of the group Joyce Parfitt said: “Les has been a vital member of the group and this was a way of thanking him for all he has done.
“He was thrilled with his present and it was great to reward all his hard work.”
