Day in the life of a lottery winner!

Oldham Evening Chronicle reporter Beatriz Ayala on Euromillions treat living the millionaire lifestyle.
FROM the moment my chauffeur Adam Harding Jones opened the door for me to the navy-blue Silver Shadow II Rolls Royce outside my home, I knew it was going to be a very special day.
Settling into the plush cream leather interior, oblivious to the stares of curious pedestrians and bus passengers, we glided into central Manchester for the first stop during my day as a millionaire.
I was in good company as Adam told me he had ferried round stars including singing sensation Beyonce in the back of his Roller and was in charge of Take That for the length of their Progress tour in Manchester.
Like Cinderella, the dream would disappear by the next morning, but until then, it was time to experience the high life of the rich and famous.
A hearty champagne breakfast at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, in Peter Street, was the only way to set me up for my day so after a full English breakfast and fresh fruit, followed by a glass of bubbly, it was time to shop til I dropped. A short ride to Harvey Nichols in Exchange Square and my personal shopper Tom Myers was ready and waiting with another chilled glass of champers ready to pick through the rails of designer goodies so I didn’t have to.
With neon colours bang-on trend for summer 2011, Tom returned with arms full of gorgeous designer gowns to try on as well as a strappy pair of nude Jimmy Choo’s with sky-scraper heels.
And after twirling round in frocks from designers including Joseph, Diane Von Furstenberg and Alice & Olivia, I settled on a slinky coral cocktail dress by Paul Smith.
Retail therapy done, it was time to head back to the car where Adam told me I’d just missed the chance to meet real millionaire and Manchester United star Ryan Giggs who had been “papped” in Harvey Nics!
Following an exhausting morning of retail therapy, a touch of rest and relaxation was in order so it was off to the Lowry Hotel to de-stress with a full body massage with Elemis essential oils.
An hour later and suitably blissed out, I floated along the corridor to the hotel’s classic River Bar and Restaurant, where a champagne afternoon tea of dainty sandwiches, scones and Devonshire clotted cream, delectable pastries, and fresh strawberries and champagne awaited.
Refreshed and revived, I was driven to my last stop of the day and bid a sad farewell to Adam as he set off to transport real-life millionaires Gary, Robbie, Mark, Howard and Jason around the city.
My home for the night was a luxurious room on the 21st floor of the Hilton Hotel, on Deansgate, with a plush king-sized bed, power shower and views stretching across the Cheshire planes.
A quick change into my little black dress and high heels and it was dinner for two with my fiance at the hotel’s Podium Restaurant, with a bottle of Bollinger close at hand to toast our temporary good luck.
The following morning, we said goodbye to the Hilton and the high life and came back down to earth as we walked across Piccadilly Gardens to catch the bus home. The experience was amazing while it lasted, and definitely gave me a taste for the good life.
I’ll be checking my EuroMillios raffle draw ticket closely tonight!
