‘Honey-trap’ robbery ended in stabbing

A MAN has admitted taking part in a “honey-trap” robbery which saw his Oldham friend stabbed to death by his victim.
Hull Crown Court heard how Mark Puckering (28), along with his friend Kirk Price, originally from Derker, robbed pensioner Barrie Moseley after he was lured to a house in Hull.
However, the pensioner fought back and turned on his robbers, stabbing Price to death.
Kerry Daysley (32) had lured Mr Moseley (67) back to the house promising sexual favours. Once inside the house in Salthouse Lane, Hull, she then opened the door to let the two men in to rob him.
During the robbery, Mr Moseley stabbed Mr Price, a 38-year-old father-of-four. He died from a single stab to the heart, which killed him instantly.
Puckering has pleaded guilty to robbery at Hull Crown Crown on the day of his trial. He admitted stealing cash and a phone from the property. Recorder Felicity Davies has adjourned sentencing for reports but said prison was inevitable.
Daysley, of De La Pole Avenue, Hull, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery on September 15, last year. She will be sentenced at the same time as Puckering.
Her barrister, Chris Dunn, previously told the court: “Sexual services were offered and once she found the complainant had money, it is alleged Daysley then let others into the property to rob him. Mr Moseley’s actions were accepted as lawful self-defence.” Following the robbery, Price was later found slumped behind a pub by commuters making their way into work.
Mr Moseley was originally charged with murder, but the Crown Prosecution Service later dropped the charges on the grounds that he was acting in self-defence because he was in fear of his life.
Puckering, of Dock House, Hull, and Daysley have both been remanded in custody. They are due to be sentenced later this month.
