RESIDENTS got stuck into some gardening ahead of next month’s Limeside in Bloom competition.
Over 60 residents were invited to plant baskets and pots as part of the garden contest.
Organiser Sarah Furbey, community development worker for landlord Contour Homes, said: “Residents were encouraged to show off their existing gardening works of art or they could start a new hanging basket or pot.
“Even the children got involved and really enjoyed being able to decorate small pots and plant sunflower seeds.”
Organisers hope residents will have been encouraged to enter the gardening competition where all entrants win a prize.
Categories include Best Garden and Most Improved Garden and the competition is open for residents living in Hollins and Limeside.
Judging will take place in the week starting July 4 and the winners will be announced at the Hollinwood Together Festival on July 10.
Entry forms are available from the Contour Office on First Avenue.
