Farm food for thought

DISCOVER the story behind your food with a visit to Hanging Chadder Farm’s open day.
Run by Philip Day and his brother Colin, the farm is a member of LEAF — Linking Environment And Farming, a charity which assists farmer to run farms efficiently and sustainably.
The family farm, which was started by the brothers’ grandad is now home to a herd of 75 dairy cows, rare breed pigs and beef cattle.
Visitors will get the chance to meet the animals and have a guided tractor and trailer ride around the farm, as well as discovering hedgerows, the fishing pond and the fields which provide an important habitat for wildlife.
The day runs from 11am - 5pm on Sunday.
