DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of an Oldham teenager believe he may have been spotted in Bacup.
Ciaron Nuttall (19) was last seen on Cardigan Street, Royton and hasn’t returned to his home in Charcon Walk, Royton.
Last weekend marked the third month since he went missing and his distraught mum, Ann-Marie Walls, said she had hoped he would return for her birthday on June 17. Following a phone call from a member of the public, officers from the Major Incident Team believe Ciaron may be living in Bacup and have distributed posters there, in the hope of finding him.
Ciaron’s phone and facebook account have not been used since that time, which is out of character and he has not accessed his bank account.
Det Chief insp Pete Giles, from the Major Incident Team, said: “It is nearly 12 weeks since Ciaron was last seen and he has still not used his bank or social network accounts, which is concerning. His family are extremely worried about him and all I would ask is that he ring them or the police and let us know you are safe and well.
“We have had some information suggesting he might be living in the Bacup area so I would urge the community there to look out for him and if anyone has seen him please call us.”
Ciaron’s mum, Ann-Marie Walls said: “In the beginning when he went missing, we were told he might be in Bacup but then we didn’t hear anything of it. I really hope it’s him and he’s okay.”
Ciaron is white, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with short brown hair and has links to Oldham and Rochdale and family members in Wigan and Ireland.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Incident Team on 0161-856 2446, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
