DRUGS and cash were discovered by police at a house in Waterloo Street, Oldham, yesterday.
Acting on intelligence from the public, police executed a warrant at the property at 6.30am. Officers from the Priority Neighbourhood Team and Operational Support Unit recovered a large quantity of cash and small amounts of illegal drugs from the address.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods while a third man received a fixed-penalty notice for possession of cannabis. All three were further arrested on suspicion of money-laundering offences.
The arrests were part of an investigation into drug dealing in Oldham.
PC Clement Jones, of the Priority Neighbourhood Team, said: “I hope yesterday’s operation reassures the communities within Oldham and sends out a clear message showing that we act quickly on information passed on to us, helping us combat the fight against offences linked with drugs.”
