Demolition of former DIY store begins
Date published: 16 June 2011
THE demolition of the former B&Q store at Mumps began today.
The removal is part of the works to construct the new Metrolink interchange and follows demolition of the bridges over Mumps roundabout earlier this year.
The site will be used for a new Metrolink stop, bus stops and a park and ride site with 250 spaces, and a link road between Union Street and Oldham Way.
