OFFICERS investigating the murder of a shop worker at Brookhouse Wines in Salford have released an Oldham businessman without charge.
Gulfan Khan (36), formerly of Howgill Crescent, was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Nasar Shazad (30) in February as he returned from Pakistan to Leeds-Bradford Airport.
After being questioned by officers from the Greater Manchester Police Major Incident Team, he was bailed pending further inquiries but released without charge following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Mr Shazad was fatally shot on Saturday, July 4, 2009. Five men were jailed for a variety of offences connected to the murder in January.
