Let Sir Alex lord it over football!

Sir Alex Ferguson should be appointed to the House of Lords, an MP has claimed.
Blackley and Broughton MP Graham Stringer believes there is a lack of representatives from the football world in the second chamber.
He has tabled a Commons motion calling for the “most successful manager in British football” to be recommended for appointment to the House of Lords.
Mr Stringer added: “When you think of the importance of football it is really shocking there is no representation in there.
“Seb Coe is in the Lords as a great athlete but none of the managers or football players from the last 40 or 50 years are there and it is a lack of representation.
“Football is very important to this country, economically, socially and culturally. I think there should be representations in the Lords and I think Sir Alex Ferguson has contributed massively not only through Manchester United but also Aberdeen.”
